Stealthgear Oynx IWB Holster

I purchased a stealthgear holster after I received a recommendation from the instructor of my CCW class.  My Instructor stated that stealthgear makes the most comfortable holster he had ever used, which was a pretty bold statement given the fact that he had carried for years, worked for the FBI, and seen/used so many holsters over the year.

I actually was hesitant to go for it as I thought my leather/kydex hybrid holster I had been running on my 1911 was comfortable, however I couldnt be more wrong.

I purchased the Oynx for my M&P shield and it has now served as my go to holster for any time I need to carry.  The holster itself is a hybrid design that utilizes a synthetic backing and a kydex shell.

It truly is super comfortable and a really great holster.  The best part is the ventcore technology - I live in Southern California and it can sure get hot!  Compared to other IWB holsters this holster stays cool.

I run this holster at about the 4:30 position, and it literally disappears behind even the lightest of T shirts.

The holster was so great I actually picked up the Appendix carry model they offer, but there will be another review on that item.


Update:

After months of carrying with this holster it is still my primary means of non appendix carry.  The holster has held up well and really worth its price.  I have even washed it a few times now and have not had a single issue!
